I had a wonderful experience at Moon Valley Nurseries on the Charleston location! From the moment I walked in, Mercedes greeted me with a warm smile, introduced herself, and made me feel welcome. She took the time to answer all of my questions and explained everything about the plants I was interested in. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine passion for helping customers really stood out. It’s not often you receive customer service like this, and Mercedes made my visit enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks to her, I left feeling confident about my plant choices. If you’re looking for great service and knowledgeable staff, I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Mercedes!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We came here as a family of four, excited to buy plants and teach our kids how to grow something together—specifically a banana plant. This was meant to be a learning moment for them. Instead, we were embarrassed the moment we walked in. A staff member asked what we were looking for, and when my husband said “banana plant,” he laughed at us. He even told another worker, and they both laughed like it was a joke. Our kids were standing right there and witnessed everything. It completely ruined the experience. As parents, we were trying to teach our children about gardening, curiosity, and learning new things. Instead, they saw adults mocking others for asking a simple question. A respectful explanation would have been more than enough, but we received zero professionalism and zero kindness. This place does not create a welcoming or supportive environment, especially for families or beginners. We left feeling disrespected and disappointed. If you value being treated with basic respect, I recommend going somewhere else.

We bought more than $2000 dollars of trees from Moon 3-4 years ago to use as privacy fence so my neighbors cannot see our backyard. Their trees quality is not good. After so long 4 trees did not grow much at all.Actually some of them looked very unhealthy. We will not recommend buying their items because overall quality is not good.
